History
Diamond Catering and Events was created sixteen years ago by Dan and Teresa Seeley. Their base is in Syracuse at the site of an historic Cider Mill. There, they operate The Split Rock Café, host private functions and create countless memorable events each year.
Diamond in the News
- Our proudest moment as a company was our endeavor to feed the 10,000 residents of Gander, Newfoundland to thank them their selflessness on September 11 when thousands of airplane passengers were diverted there. The effort, “Gratitude for Gander” was featured in national newspapers and on CNN.
- Diamond Catering and Events was chosen as the exclusive caterer for JGB Enterprises, the corporate sponsor of the 2008 Syracuse Jazzfest.
- Recently, Diamond Catering and Events became involved in the efforts to send the family of Olympian Lopez Lomong to Beijing to witness his attempt at a Gold Medal. Lomong was a “Lost Boy” from Sudan who was fostered by a couple in Otisco, New York. Diamond Catering raised media attention for a fundraiser and served 1,200 people. The projected goal was tripled and Lopez was awarded the honor of carrying the American flag during the opening ceremonies.
